Nigerian singer and co-founder of Five Star Music, Kcee, took to the airwaves in a recent Afrobeats podcast to counter accusations from former signee Harrysong.
The latter claims to have authored many of Kcee’s chart-topping songs during his time with the music label.
In a compelling revelation, Kcee dismissed Harrysong’s assertions, stating that the latter was in his grandmother’s village when Kcee and his former partner, Presh, won the Star Quest talent show and signed a contract with Kennis Music. He emphasized that Harrysong couldn’t have written the songs during that period.

Despite parting ways with Five Star Music eight years ago, Kcee proudly asserted his independent success in producing hit songs. Concerned for Harrysong’s well-being, Kcee hinted at potential spiritual guidance, especially in light of the former’s reported conflicts with his wife and former manager, Soso.
In a direct appeal, Kcee urged, “When I won Star Quest, Harrysong was in the village with his grandmother. Harrysong has a problem, we need to pray for him. Jokes apart, we need to pray for him.”
The podcast interview sheds new light on the ongoing feud, bringing forth Kcee’s perspective on the controversial songwriting claims.
