Nigerians Are Crying, Address Economic Pains – Musician K1 Begs Tinubu

Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, the renowned Fuji maestro known as K1 De Ultimate, took the stage to deliver a heartfelt message to President Bola Tinubu on behalf of Nigerians.

In a video that surfaced during one of his performances, the usually staunch supporter of the President expressed the collective frustration of Nigerians regarding the current state of the economy.

In the video delivered in Yoruba, K1 implored President Tinubu to address the challenges facing the masses, stating, “I plead with you to find a solution to the plight of the masses. The citizens are crying and wailing. We’re suffering amid a lack of adequate power supply. How did things get to this point? I implore you to fix these problems.”

President Tinubu’s decisions to end fuel subsidies and float the naira have been major contributors to the economic challenges. The price of Premium Motor Spirit skyrocketed from N185 to over N600, and the naira’s instability against the dollar has seen it sell for between N1,200 and N1,500.

K1, who has previously sung praises for President Tinubu, emphasized the discontent among Nigerians, saying, “The traders in this country are not happy. Look at what the dollar has become.” He also drew attention to the rising incidents of kidnapping, urging the President to address the issue promptly.

Despite the critique, K1 urged Nigerians to exercise patience, assuring them that the government would resolve the challenges. He concluded by calling out those profiting from the suffering of the masses, asking them to “bury their heads in shame.”

This unexpected plea from K1 De Ultimate, a figure well-known for his support, adds a new dimension to the ongoing discussions about the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians under the current administration.
