The central bank of Nigeia has announced that they have evacuated naira notes to commercial banks and they have also instructed all banks to work on Saturday and Sunday.
The Acting Director, Dr Isa AbdulMumin made this known on the 24th March, 2023 . He stated that a substantial amount of money has been distributed to all commercial banks and will be circulated .
He also stated that the CBN should ensure to load their ATM with money and also carry out their normal activities this weekend so as to attend to their customers.
He also noted that the CBN Governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele would personally lead the team to monitor how the banks comply with this information.
Dr Isa AbdulMuminalso urged Nigerians to be patient as the cash scarcity will soon die down once the disbursed cash starts to circulate.
