There are 4 ways in which you can check your NIN, which we will look at.
1. By USSD

How to Check Your NIN On Airtel
Through USSD
- Step 1: Go to your Dial pad
- Step 2: dial *346#
- Step 3 : Click on Check my NIN
Through the My Airtel Care App.
- All you need to do is to download the app from play store or App store.
- Sign in with your active Airtel number
- Click on the three lines on the top right corner
- Click on the “My Account” tab
- Click on “NIN Verification”
Through Airtel Website
- Visit the Airtel website at www.airtel.com.ng
- Click on the “services”
- Click on “NIN Verification”
- Enter your Airtel number and name in the spaces provided
How To Check Your NIN on Glo
By USSD
- Step 1: Go to your Dial pad
- Step 2: dial *346#
- Step 3: select option 1 NIN retrieval
Note: A service charge of N20 will be deducted from your account and your NIN number will be displayed.
Through the GLO Cafe mobile App
- Open the MyGlo App on your phone; it is available on play store and App Store
- Click on the “Self Care” tab
- enter your registered Glo number to login
- Click on “NIN Manager”
Through website
- Visit the Glo website at www.gloworld.com/ng
- Click on the “Menu”
- Click on “NIN Manager”
- Enter your Glo number and name in the spaces provided
How To Check Your NIN on MTN
There is only one way of check your NIN on MTN which is USSD. Other methods have not been developed but I believe that soon it’ll be available.
Through USSD
- Step 1: Go to your Dial pad
- Step 2: dial *346#
- Step 3: Select ”1” NIN retrieval

Through the 9mobile website:
- Visit the 9mobile website at www.9mobile.com.ng
- scroll down to the bottom page
- Click on the “NIN Verification” icon
- Enter your 9mobile number and name in the spaces provided
Through the 9mobile App
- Open the 9mobile App on your phone
- Click on the “NIN Verification” icon
- Enter your 9mobile number and name in the spaces provided
- If your NIN is linked to your mobile number, it will be displayed on your screen
Through USSD
- Step 1: Go to your Dial pad
- Step 2: dial *346#
- Step 3: Select ”1” NIN retrieval
How To Check Your NIN On Your Phone Through The Nimc Mobile App
- Go to Play or App Store and download the Nimc App
- Sign in with the number you used to register your NIN
- An OTP will be sent to your number
- Enter the OTP and sign in
- Your virtual NIN will be displayed to you with all the other Informations you need
