Mbappe To Join Macron, Qatar’s Emir For Dinner At Elysee Palace, PSG Chief Present

French President Emmanuel Macron has extended a dinner invitation to Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward, Kylian Mbappe, amidst swirling speculations about the player’s future.

The rendezvous, scheduled at Paris’ Elysee Palace, will also see the presence of PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The unusual gathering, however, isn’t solely centered around football discussions but rather is in honor of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Reports indicate that President Macron, known for his interest in matters concerning PSG, has orchestrated this gathering as a diplomatic effort.

The dinner, slated for Tuesday evening, aims to facilitate discussions regarding the ceasefire and release of hostages in the Israel-Hamas conflict, with the presence of Sheikh Tamim being pivotal to these talks.

Mbappe and Al-khelaifi To Attend the Dinner

While Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi are set to attend the dinner, their role will be limited to being guests of honor. They won’t partake in the diplomatic negotiations, merely joining the meal arranged by President Macron.

Macron’s Desire To Keep Mbappe At PSG

This gesture by Macron underscores his desire to keep Mbappe at the Paris club, despite the player’s imminent departure from Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has been a key figure at PSG for seven years, and Macron’s efforts to persuade him to stay have been in vain. Mbappe’s rejection of a substantial contract offer from PSG further solidifies his departure from the Parc des Princes.

Interestingly, this won’t be Mbappe’s first visit to the Elysee Palace. The young forward had previously graced the venue after France’s World Cup triumph in 2018. He had also met Macron and Sheikh Tamim during a previous engagement in 2018.

Mbappe’s Possible Move To Real Madrid

As Mbappe prepares for his next chapter at Real Madrid, PSG may soon find themselves adapting to life without their talismanic forward. Manager Luis Enrique hinted at preparations for such a scenario in a recent press conference, indicating the club’s readiness to navigate the post-Mbappe era.

With speculation surrounding Mbappe’s future reaching a crescendo, his presence at this diplomatic dinner adds another layer of intrigue to an already captivating saga.
