French President Emmanuel Macron has extended a dinner invitation to Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward, Kylian Mbappe, amidst swirling speculations about the player’s future.
The rendezvous, scheduled at Paris’ Elysee Palace, will also see the presence of PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The unusual gathering, however, isn’t solely centered around football discussions but rather is in honor of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
Reports indicate that President Macron, known for his interest in matters concerning PSG, has orchestrated this gathering as a diplomatic effort.

The dinner, slated for Tuesday evening, aims to facilitate discussions regarding the ceasefire and release of hostages in the Israel-Hamas conflict, with the presence of Sheikh Tamim being pivotal to these talks.

While Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi are set to attend the dinner, their role will be limited to being guests of honor. They won’t partake in the diplomatic negotiations, merely joining the meal arranged by President Macron.
