The central bank of Nigeria has published a new portal for the collection old naira notes.
The process requires registration on the newly released portal with the url : crs.cbn.gov.ng
The Cash Deposit Window will be open to the public from today until Friday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The esteemed Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has informed citizens that the exchange of old banknotes for new ones will not be facilitated by any financial institution.
How to use the portal to submit old naira notes
The following is a summary of the CBN’s guidelines for depositing old notes: According to the CBN’s guidelines, the procedure for depositing old banknotes can take up to four weeks. Furthermore, the guidelines state that deposited notes will be withheld if the validation process for an account yields negative results. Furthermore, third-party deposits are not permitted, and the depositor’s account information must be provided.

- Enter details such as : Customer BVN, BVN Name, BVN phone, BVN address, Bank, Account number, Ac count name, Depositor phone number, email, amount(200,500 or 1000)notes, Total deposit.
