After the collation of results in Abia State was suspended due to the results controversy in obingwa, INEC finally declares labour party candidate Alex otti winner of the election.
Alex otti also took to his social media to celebrate this victory. He quoted it with a video he posted back in 2019. He captioned “see what the Lord has done”.
He also thanked his supporters for voting him in.
Labour Party won in 10 LGAs, the PDP in 6 LGAs, and the Young Peoples Party in 1 LGA.
Peoples Democratic Party scored 9,962 votes and the Labour Party, 3,776 votes in the LGA.
The results were later announced by The Returning Officer, Prof. Nnenna Oti, on Wednesday 22nd March 2023.
